Dallas Aquarium

The Dallas Aquarium has a unique variety of animals on display from the sea and also on the land. You will be able to experience a 360-degree view of the aquatic life when you travel through the 22,000-gallon tunnel. This is an experience like no other, where you can see life the way a fish might. The Dallas Aquarium also puts on display fish from many different habitats around the world.

One of the features of the Dallas Aquarium that you may not get to see anywhere else is the Antillean Manatees on display. The closest living relatives to these water-loving animals are elephants and aardvarks so it is amazing to watch these large animals swimming around. A long way from their homes, the Dallas aquarium houses a colony of penguins to entertain you. You will be amazed as you watch one swim by at nearly 20 miles an hour. There is also a menagerie of land animals to see while you are here as well. You will not get a much better chance to see so many animals in one place.

You can walk through a 40-foot tunnel and view some of the bull sharks on display here or try and find one of the Mexican walking fish that are like no other fish on display. All of these animals are put on display in the Maya exhibit, which also has flamingos and crocodiles. There are also many birds flying among the displays that are sure to catch your eye.
