New England Aquarium

The New England Aquarium in Boston is yet another fine public aquarium with all the displays of wonderful marine animals anyone could ask for. If you have an interest in this field you will be astounded by all the details and sheer number of species presented. There are so many options you won’t know where to start. There is an exciting display of Jellyfish. You will be mesmerized by their fluid motion and form. These creatures are like no other. This exhibit is displayed among other animals including monitor lizards in a 5000 square foot tank. You will come away with a new appreciation for these alien-like creatures.

During the summer and the fall the most popular attraction at the New England Aquarium is undoubtedly the sharks. If you love sharks then this is the time of year to visit. You can even view one of the 3D IMAX shark films and feel as though you are swimming among them. Along with the Shark exhibit there is also a very popular Sea lion exhibit. Watching these playful animals will be sure to put a smile on your face.

Of course a trip to the New England Aquarium would not be complete without a stop at the Penguin exhibit. You won’t be able to leave once you see the aquarium’s colony of more than 60 penguins. Penguins make you laugh with every step they take and then dive into the water swimming with grace.

It is also possible to go on a whale watch with the New England Aquarium. You will be taken to the whale feeding grounds where you can witness the largest animals to have ever lived on earth. It is an experience like no other. As you can see there is plenty of activity but you can find out more at www.neaq.org.
