NJ AquariumBuses of school children, individual families, and many other tour groups visit the NJ Aquarium on a regular basis. The Philadelphia Zoo manages the NJ Aquarium and it is an excellent, modern facility. They are adding new exhibits since it opened a few years ago. The NJ Aquarium is located along Camden's waterfront opposite Penn's Landing and just north of the Blockbuster-Sony Entertainment Centre. The exhibits on display offer many different kinds of habitats. An interesting display is the West Africa River experience. In this exhibit you will be feet away from dangerous crocodiles and the even the most dangerous animal in Africa, the Nile Hippopotamus. These animals can be very dangerous since these large beasts are capable of opening their mouths 4 ft. Only whales can open their mouth more. The NJ Aquarium in New Jersey offers an exciting venue for the aquarium hobbyist and underwater enthusiast. There are exotic birds and you will be immersed in the middle of thousands of fish. The NJ Aquarium brings all the excitement of Africa without the fear of malaria. There are Caribbean exhibits where you won’t believe these creatures came from this planet. Fish of all colors shapes and sizes are on display each with unique features. There is also an octopus on display at the NJ Aquarium . These fantastic sea creatures are amazing as they swim along amidst all the other wonders like seahorses and barracuda. This is yet another place in the NJ Aquarium which provides an experience out of the ordinary. The NJ Aquarium also houses over twenty African penguins. These flightless birds are captivating to watch, as they seem to struggle along the ground and then gracefully glide through the water with ease. There are too many great things about the NJ Aquarium to list here. They are open daily from 9 to 5.
