Oklahoma AquariumThe Oklahoma Aquarium is located in Jenks, Oklahoma, which is a suburb of Tulsa. The Oklahoma Aquarium is home to both freshwater as well saltwater fish that are on display in the Oklahoma Aquarium. The Oklahoma Aquarium is open from 10 am to 6 pm daily and on Tuesdays until 9pm. Customers can enter the Oklahoma Aquarium one hour prior to closing time. Prices for admission are $12.95 for adults and $10.95 for seniors and military. Children from 3- 12 years pay $8.95 and children under 3 are admitted free. The entire Oklahoma Aquarium is on one level, which makes it suitable for all wheel chair access. Patrons are encouraged to wear a light jacket since the facility is continuously air conditioned. There are many exhibits at the Oklahoma Aquarium providing educational and cultural opportunities for all visitors from the state as well as from across the US. There are over two hundred exhibits on display at the Oklahoma Aquarium containing several thousand animals from various oceans around the world. There is also a fishing tackle museum, the shark adventure, the principles of survival exhibit, fish from Oklahoma, mysteries of the deep and a coral reef exhibit all housed in the Oklahoma Aquarium. Many students visit the Oklahoma Aquarium every year and enjoy the various displays as well as the educational wetlabs, which are on display in the facility as well. The Wetlabs provide the students with hands on learning experiences and enables these students to study the Arkansas River. They are able to learn about the plants, animals and fish that in habit the Arkansas ecosystem in a way that they never have before. These same centers are considered Aquatic resource centers for school groups from grade school up to university levels.
