The Seattle aquarium hosts many special events for the young an old alike. There is a trick or treat at the waterfront for Halloween, sea turtles as world travellers, toddler times, cedar river salmon journey and much more. There are many exhibits at the Seattle aquarium that feature exhibits that let you see spectacular aquatic fish, touch some of them and explore fish habitats. There are also guides available that can really add a lot to your experience. These guides will be able to relate personal stories about some of the residents of the Seattle aquarium, which many visitors find quite interesting.

The Seattle aquarium is very interested in advancing conservation of the oceans and freshwater lakes and streams. There are many educational stories and lots of information about how you can participate and help the world’s waters. Even local ecosystems can be explained and assisted by practicing safe conservational techniques. The Seattle aquarium will explain how many of our present day practices can affect our lakes and streams and oceans. Seattle’s beaches are of particular concern to the Seattle aquarium.

The Seattle aquarium is located on the waterfront at pier 59. The address is 1483 Alaskan Way in Seattle. Visitors can purchase a monthly pass or a city pass. Daily rates are $12, children from 6 years to 12 years is $8.00 and a child from 3 to 5 years is $5.00. There are also harbour cruises and combo events that you can register for. Large groups such as school groups can register, however advance registration is required. Regular hours are 10 am to 5 pm, however holiday hours usually close at 3 pm. Visitors should check for times if they are unsure of when the Seattle aquarium may be closed.
