Visitors to the Texas state aquarium will enjoy walkways that feature images of whales, rays, dolphins, sharks and the Gulf of Mexico. You enter under a signature waterfall and then have the opportunity to observe dive shows and hands on experiences with some of the aquatic fish and animals. Feed the sharks, stingrays, hermit crabs and other animals that are in the Texas state aquarium. There are a number of daily programs that everyone can get involved with. Some of the daily events are the Amazon creature feature, the dolphin presentation, the reptile report and the stingray flats keeper chat. There are a number of other events as well so plan you day so that you have time to visit all those that are on your priority list.

The Texas state aquarium also has special events as well that they stage for the benefit of all of their guests. Take part in the Beach ball gala, the fin-tastic photo contest, sensational sea food and much more. The Texas state aquarium opens daily at 9 am and closes at 6 pm during the summer, it is closed Thanksgiving Day and Christmas day. The cost to enter the Texas state aquarium is $12.95 for adults over 13 years, senior citizens over 65 are charged $10.95 and children cost $7.95 to get in beginning at 4 years old. Children 3 and under are free. Customers also will pay for parking at a charge of $3.00 and there is a gift shop and a food court available at the Texas state aquarium.
