Zoo Aquarium

 

The American Zoo & Aquarium association or AZA was founded in 1924 as the American Association of Zoological Parks and Aquariums to support the advancement of zoos aquariums and the conservation of animals and aquatic species. There aim is to have a world were everyone envisions a world where all people respect and value animals and fish species that are on the endangered list as well as all animals generally. Their objective is to also conserve animals and protect those species that are at risk from the environmental impacts caused by man.

The American Zoo & Aquarium association has over 5,500 members and remains the largest zoo aquarium organization in the world. They support a variety of programs and there members work around the world to protect animals and fish that are on the endangered lists. They also work to improve animals and aquatic mammals who need extra care and improve the conditions that these animals are kept in. By working to improve ecosystems around the world many zoo aquarium groups are making a positive contribution to the world and the environment that we all enjoy.
